Our referral disclosure, in plain English

- Partner companies are independent. Each one is a local business responsible for its own work, pricing, licensing, insurance, and warranties.
- Companies pay us, homeowners don't. Participating companies pay us a fee for referrals. Using the service is free for you.

How partner companies are chosen
Every partner is an independent, local garage door company that serves the ZIP codes it's matched with. You'll know the company's name when it contacts you, so you can look it up and read its reviews before anyone comes to your home.
However a company is chosen, you should still do the basics: ask for proof of insurance, a written price, and warranty terms before work starts.
Why one company instead of five?
Many "get quotes" sites send your phone number to several contractors at once. That can mean a string of calls within minutes and a lot of repeating yourself. We do it differently: your request goes to one company that covers your area. If you want a second opinion afterward, you're free to get one.
What to ask the company before you book
- What will this cost, in writing, before work starts? Is there a trip or service-call fee?
- What parts are you installing? For springs, ask about the type and cycle rating. For openers, ask about the brand and model.
- What's the warranty on parts and on labor?
- Are you insured? Ask for proof of liability insurance.
- Is there an after-hours charge if the visit is at night or on a weekend?

The garage door companies in our network pay us a fee for referrals. Homeowners pay nothing to use the service. You pay only the company you hire, and only for work you approve.

Because being called by five companies at once isn't help. One request goes to one local company that covers your ZIP code, so you have a single conversation, not a bidding war on your phone. You're always free to get other quotes on your own.
What if I'm not happy with the company?

Do I have to hire the company you connect me with?
No. The quote is between you and the company, and there's no obligation to hire them.
Does Raleigh Garage Door SOS do repairs?
No. We don't perform repairs, installations, or inspections, and we don't employ technicians. The independent company you're connected with does the work.
